They Heard My Inner Thoughts, and I Became the Ming Crown Prince’s Grandson

He transmigrates into the body of Zhu Yunton, a newborn imperial grandson in the early Ming dynasty. As a baby, Zhu Yunton had planned to lie flat. But he never expected that Zhu Yuanzhang, Zhu Biao, Empress Ma, and Chang would all be able to hear the thoughts of the baby Zhu Yunton! And so! Zhu Yunton thinks, “My mother suffered a massive hemorrhage giving birth to me and is about to die? The Imperial Medical Academy can’t be trusted. We need to find a doctor from outside the palace.” So Zhu Yuanzhang orders them to find an outside doctor, saving Chang’s life. He investigates the Imperial Medical Academy, and heads roll. Zhu Yunton thinks, “My eldest brother, Zhu Xiongying, is going on an inspection tour with the Crown Prince? He’ll probably catch smallpox and die on the way.” So Zhu Biao forbids Zhu Xiongying from joining the tour, saving his life. Sure enough, a smallpox outbreak occurs in a place they pass on their journey. Zhu Yunton thinks, “Grandmother, Empress Ma, has an old ailment. She absolutely cannot get sick again, or the illness will compound and no medicine will help.” So Zhu Yuanzhang takes even better care of Empress Ma, and her health improves. Zhu Yunton thinks, “At this rate, Zhu Yunwen probably won’t get the chance to become the Crown Prince and inherit the throne.” So Zhu Yuanzhang makes Zhu Yunwen a prince and sends him to a remote fief. Zhu Yunwen is on the verge of tears. Zhu Yunton thinks, “Then the Jingnan Campaign won’t happen either. Surely Fourth Uncle won’t rebel?” So Zhu Biao summons Zhu Di and, while beating him, asks if he still wants to be emperor. Zhu Di cries and kills Yao Guangxiao! Zhu Yunton thinks, “Everything has changed? Then who will rule the Ming dynasty in the future?” Zhu Yuanzhang says, “I, your subject Zhu Chongba, together with my humble wife Ma Xiuying and my foolish son Zhu Biao, respectfully invite the Ming dynasty’s divine grandson Zhu Yunton to ascend the throne as emperor…” Zhu Yunton: “Huh? Me????”
