I'm a Farmer, and the First Emperor's Daughter Won't Leave Me Alone

Lin Ji, a transmigrator, has spent five years living in seclusion and farming in the Qin dynasty.

His main job is growing millet and brewing wine. His side job is cursing out the System for getting the weather forecast wrong.

One day, while out clearing a ditch, he casually saves someone from an assassin’s blade.

She’s a young woman with a sprained ankle and a fiery temper.

When she asks his name, he tells her. When she asks what he does, he says he’s a farmer. When she asks why he saved her, he says she was getting in the way of his ditch-clearing.

Only later does he learn the truth:

Her name is Ying Yinman, the First Emperor’s eldest daughter.

The assassins were after her father.

And if word of her survival gets back to Xianyang, the whole court will be shaken to its foundations.

Lin Ji looks at the estate he has spent five years building, then at the growing number of strangers appearing beyond the mountains.

He sighs.

“All I want is to farm in peace. Why is that so hard?”
