A Fallen Kingdom's Canary? I'll Build a Red-Coat Cannon Instead

The Great Qian Empire has collapsed, and the land has fallen into chaos.

Five lords of different surnames have carved up the realm, and every one of them is a peerless female warlord!

The northern frontier’s female military ruler, the Jiangnan business empress, the Western Liang Empress…

Pei Jingmo, a science-minded modern man, transmigrates as the last prince of a fallen dynasty. In an instant, he becomes a prize in the eyes of the five female overlords, all eager to “hold the emperor hostage and command the lords.”

To stay alive, he pretends to be a helpless, delicate canary and is forced to navigate the female overlords’ deadly battlefield of rivalry.

“His Highness is too weak. Only I can protect him!” the female lords say as they vie for his favor.

But in a remote fief where no one can see, Pei Jingmo is quietly advancing technology: smelting steel, making firearms, and casting cannons!

Then, one day, three hundred thousand foreign cavalry ride south. The five female lords are routed on every front and, in despair, prepare to die for their country.

On the city wall, Pei Jingmo sighs, drops his meek disguise, and reveals three thousand cannons and a hundred thousand riflemen.

“Fire!”

One synchronized volley, and three hundred thousand cavalry are wiped out!

Watching the steel tide sweep across the realm, the five female lords are dumbfounded.

“This is the useless prince? What kind of monster did we snatch?”
