[Different Stories, Different Instances]
At 3:17 a.m., the loudspeaker in an abandoned funeral home crackles to life right on schedule: “All employees, please report to the morgue to collect today’s work manual.” As a newly hired “employee,” Lin Mo is forced to join this eerie shift game. The rules in the manual keep changing: yesterday, it was “Do not look directly at your reflection”; today, it’s “You must say goodnight to every corpse”; tomorrow, it might be “Choose a corpse to have dinner with.” Seven strangers are trapped in this looping funeral home, each with their own secrets and skills: a physicist who can decipher the rules, a sensitive person who can sense “anomalies,” an old man who used to be a mortician, and more. When they discover that the last page of every manual bears the same name, the game starts spiraling out of control. Before the “rules” consume everyone, Lin Mo must find out who the real target of this funeral is. It might be them.
