Working in Logistics in the Tomb-Raiding World

Xu Xiaoxian died.

Not while tomb-raiding, but because a flowerpot fell from the sky and hit him.

When he opened his eyes again, a translucent System panel floated before him.

[Congratulations, Host. You have been bound to the “Background Character System.”]

[Your identity: logistics staff on a tomb-raiding team.]

[Your mission: Stay out of the main plot, don't steal the protagonist's spotlight, and live quietly until the ending.]

Xu Xiaoxian fell silent for three seconds. “That's it?”

The System ignored him.

He was tossed into a tomb-raiding team that was assembling. The captain was tall, with thick eyebrows and big eyes, and carried a black-and-gold ancient blade. His presence was imposing. Beside him stood a bespectacled, refined-looking man with a foxlike smile.

There was also a fatty, busy gnawing on a chicken leg.

Xu Xiaoxian stood at the very back, holding a toolbox, with almost no presence at all.

“This is our new logistics guy, Xiao Xu,” the captain introduced him.

No one gave him a second glance.

After entering the tomb, Xu Xiaoxian noticed something: whenever the main cast ran into danger, he somehow managed to avoid it.

A cave-in, and he happened to crouch down to tie his shoelace. Poison darts, and he happened to bend over to pick something up. A monster came after them, and while the main cast ran around the tomb chamber with it in hot pursuit, he leaned against the wall and yawned. The monster rushed right past him without even looking his way.

The fatty panted, “What the hell kind of luck is that?”

Xu Xiaoxian thought, This must be the background character aura.

But little by little, things started to go wrong.
