Pokemon: Serena's Hoenn Journal

After saying goodbye with a kiss at Kalos Airport, Serena came to Hoenn alone. Braixen, Pancham, and Sylveon, three companions who had been with her since her days in Kalos, were all the luggage she brought.

The wind in Hoenn was saltier than in Kalos. On Jagged Pass, an Absol led her to safety when a landslide struck. In the rain forest of Fortree City, she lifted an injured Altaria from beneath a tree struck by lightning. On a full-moon night at Mt. Pyre, she embraced the Clefairy that had been shunned by its group.

Each encounter told her the same thing: not every road needs to be walked with someone by your side.
