Top-Tier Star Devotes Himself to the Most Hated Agent

Sang Yuan was once the youngest top agent in the industry. He built three top-tier stars from the ground up, but at twenty-seven, throat cancer forced him to have his vocal cords removed, sending him crashing from the heights into the dirt. The artists he'd once made famous all pretended he didn't exist. Colleagues called him a “mute” to his face, and the whole company treated him like a joke. He went from top agent to archive-room clerk, and even trying to get a cup of coffee earned him sneers: “A mute thinks he deserves that?” Then, at the company’s annual gala, top-tier singer Shen Tinglan called him out in front of everyone: “I want Sang Yuan to be my agent.” The room erupted. Everyone thought Shen Tinglan had lost his mind. He was choosing a useless man who couldn't speak? Only Sang Yuan knew Shen Tinglan had done it on purpose. Five years ago, outside a bar, Sang Yuan casually handed the then-unknown Shen Tinglan a business card and told him his voice deserved to be heard. Shen Tinglan remembered that for five years, and spent five years looking for him. From that day on, Sang Yuan picked up his writing board again. He couldn't speak, but his pen could secure incredible opportunities, spot traps in contracts, and save Shen Tinglan tens of millions in breach-of-contract penalties at business dinners. Others laughed that Shen Tinglan had lost his mind, but Sang Yuan used his silence to pave a road to the top for him. At a concert, Shen Tinglan began singing “Voiceless,” the song he'd written for Sang Yuan, then suddenly choked up and stopped. The big screen cut to Sang Yuan in the audience. Facing a venue filled with a hundred thousand people, his voice hoarse but firm, he said: “My agent can't speak. But he is my light.” This is a story of falling and redemption. The mute agent everyone despises is adored by a top-tier star.
