Free-to-Play Game: Is Charging Fifty Cents to Revive Me Really Fair?

[Game Development + Wild Imagination + Hilarious Everyday Life + Seriously Scheming]

Gu Sheng transmigrates to a parallel world with extremely advanced VR technology and discovers that all its games are reskinned garbage designed to grind and squeeze money from players.

To give Blue Star players a little taste of what’s in store, he advertises his game as “permanently free, with no pay-to-win nonsense.”

Blue Star players rejoice at getting everything for free, only to howl in dismay once the game launches.

“Your stamina runs out and you have to watch a three-minute ad, or pay fifty cents to revive?”

“Who puts save slots for completed levels up for auction with a clear price tag?”

“Can’t beat an elite boss? No problem! Just make your first six-yuan purchase and the System will fight it for you automatically?”

As Lethal Company, Sekiro, and PUBG hit the market one after another, players across the internet curse Old Scoundrel Gu while obediently emptying their wallets.

Gu Sheng smiles faintly. “The game itself really is free. But I never said revives and in-game items wouldn’t cost money!”
