[Spoiled heiress Jiang Yan x cold-faced top student Jiang Huaimu]

.

A 30-yuan coffee and an 80-million-yuan white dress became the source of Jiang Yan’s grievance against Jiang Huaimu.

It was his fault, his apology was insincere, and he couldn’t afford to pay for the dress. With all those strikes against him, what gave him the right to act so tough in front of her?

From then on, everyone at Beiyuan No. 1 High School knew that the untouchable Miss Jiang was out to get Jiang Huaimu!

She threw lunch trays, stepped on his face, and did anything she could think of to humiliate him. Jiang Yan was determined to get justice for herself by breaking his stubborn spirit.

At the freshmen orientation, Jiang Yan drenched all ten copies of his speech in one go, hoping to see him make a fool of himself. It didn’t work.

In the backstage lounge, Jiang Yan stood haughtily before him. When he challenged her, she sneered, “You crossed me. Your good days at this school are over!”

.

As the saying goes, never speak too soon, or you might end up eating your words.

A school charity lecture and a student file revealed the tragic past Jiang Huaimu had kept hidden from everyone.

The day she learned the truth, Jiang Yan buried her face in her hands, thinking, “I’m so done for.”

It was a profession her family held in the highest regard, placing it above all else. Her aunt and her grandfather’s comrades had died in the line of duty because of that very role.

After that, Jiang Yan stopped being difficult and domineering and started behaving herself.

.

Early Jiang Yan: “Jiang Huaimu, you crossed me. Too bad for you!”

Later Jiang Yan: “Anyone who crosses Jiang Huaimu is picking a fight with me!”
