Seventies Island Life: It All Begins with a Pot of Seafood and Gnocchi Soup

Lin Jiaojiao opens her eyes to find herself transformed into the most notorious pampered stepmother on a military island in Bohai Bay in 1974.

Her former self forced a marriage to a cold-faced regiment commander, and everyone in the family compound is waiting for her to starve to death.

Three three-year-old little wolves plot to "poison" her every day, while her burly, 1.92-meter-tall husband looks at her like she's a plague.

Lin Jiaojiao: What's there to panic about? She still has the skills she gained in her previous life as a kindergarten principal and senior nutritionist, plus a portable space with a bubbling spiritual spring. Who could she possibly fear?

Winning over the little brats? One bowl of braised pork is enough to make the second child switch sides and call her Mom on the spot.

Getting the cold-faced officer wrapped around her finger? She only has to lean against him and let him catch her scent for his ears to turn red.

Building a career? A daycare, a cooperative, military ration development, and top marks on the college entrance exam: she wants it all.

And those white-lotus types who want to step on her to rise, and those awful relatives who leech off her?

Sorry, even her three-year-old daughter is playing on a higher level than you.

Huo Lengfeng thinks the toughest battle of his life is keeping that damn boundary intact when his wife crawls into bed every night.

(Sweet romance, one couple, both devoted only to each other. The male lead starts out an ice mountain and later becomes a devoted husband. The adorable kids are beyond cute, there's no angst, and there's farming and fortune-making with a portable space!)
