My Cousin Invited Me on Five Ha, and Now This Sweetheart Won't Leave Me Alone

[System] [One heroine] [Variety shows] [Exes] [Comedy] [Five Haters] [Original Running Man cast] [Original Go Fighting! cast] Shen Du had just landed a job offer from a major tech company. He was due to start next Tuesday. His cousin Chen He showed up with a bag of braised lotus root and duck neck. “I need someone to give me a hand. Come help out for a couple of days.” He refused. Who could have known that the male guest booked for the show would get exposed in a huge scandal? Filming started the day after tomorrow, and if they couldn't find a replacement within two days, the show would be in trouble. Chen He looked at his face. “Handsome, an unknown newcomer, no scandals, and a sharper tongue than mine.” “You want me to be a guest? I'm just an office drone who's starting work next Tuesday!” “Thirty thousand yuan appearance fee!” Shen Du: “No.” Chen He called his aunt. “Auntie! Tell Shen Du to pick up!” His mother hadn't even put down her spatula. “You're filming! You have to! Don't even think about coming home if you don't!” [Ding. Super Entertainment System activating...] He leaned back in his chair. “Fine. I'll go. But don't cry when Lao Wang pulls one over on you later. I'm better on camera than you are. Do you think your fans can handle seeing that?” Chen He: “...You should worry about Super Brother making you cry first.” “I'm getting paid thirty thousand yuan. I don't provide high-end emotions like nervousness.” And so, the entertainment industry gained a newcomer who could crack a joke faster than Deng Chao, land a punchline more accurately than Lu Han, and run his mouth more sharply than Chen He. It also gained an ex-husband and ex-wife whom the production crew and the whole internet were desperately trying to push together. Shen Du thought he could go back to writing weekly reports after filming this episode. Instead, the whole internet started urging him to get back together with his ex.
