Genshin Impact: Rewriting the Heavenly Principles from the Start of a Rules Horror Game

[Derivative fiction + rules-based horror + powerhouse protagonist + invincible + System + pure wish fulfillment]

While Lin Yue was updating Genshin Impact to Version 4.4, a line of bloody text suddenly flashed across the screen: “God is dead.”

You must not look directly at the stained-glass windows in the Church of Favonius for more than three seconds. Otherwise, you will see “God” smiling at you.

You must not linger in the Fountain Plaza after ten at night. Otherwise, a hand will reach out of the fountain and ask you, “What time is it?”

You must order the Satisfying Salad at the Good Hunter restaurant. If you don’t, the waiter will keep asking, “Aren’t you hungry?” until you have a mental breakdown.

While everyone else trembled and recited the rules, Lin Yue noticed a panel appear before his eyes:

[Rule Analysis System bound]

[Current rule: Do not look directly at the stained-glass windows in the Church of Favonius]

[Logical loophole: The stained glass is essentially a “sealing mirror.” Looking directly at it triggers the “statue’s gaze.” Countermeasure: Reflect your gaze with a mirror, making the statue look at itself.]

While everyone else fought to survive, he played with the rules.

Barbara had been trapped in the church basement for seven days and nights. Lin Yue went in and brought her out in three minutes, and even changed “Do not look directly at the stained glass” to “The stained glass will show you the way.”

In Liyue, Zhongli set down his teacup and gazed toward Mondstadt. “Teyvat’s ‘contracts’... have been shaken.”

In Inazuma, Raiden Ei opened her eyes amid eternity. “Someone has altered the ‘rules’ themselves.”

The Abyss Order sent out a “warped” Harbinger with one goal: eliminate the variable.

But they had no idea that Lin Yue didn’t intend to obey the rules or exploit them. He intended to become the rules.

When all seven Archons came to call him Dad, Teyvat welcomed its true... new Heavenly Principles.
