War of Resistance: The Fiercest Warlord, Funding the Fight Against the Japanese from the Start

After transmigrating to the Republic of China era, Lu Chen becomes the infamous “Demon King of Chaos,” a powerful warlord in the northwest.

On the surface, he's arrogant and domineering. Behind the scenes, he's furiously building up his resources and secretly assembling an elite force of thirty thousand soldiers, all equipped with German gear!

When the full-scale War of Resistance breaks out, Lu Chen broadcasts a message to the entire nation, tears down the Blue Sky with a White Sun flag, and joins the Eighth Route Army wholesale, bringing his thirty thousand troops and an entire established base area with him!

To toughen up this warlord army, headquarters assigns him as deputy commander of the “Dagger Regiment,” the poorest and most hard-nosed unit.

When Commander Lei Laohu hears the news, he slams the table. “We're the main force fighting the Japanese! They send me a warlord who lives off his soldiers' pay as my deputy? No way! He'll piss himself as soon as he hears gunfire!”

On the very first day after reporting for duty, an elite Japanese battalion surrounds the Dagger Regiment.

Lei Laohu draws his saber. “Brothers, prepare for hand-to-hand combat!”

But Lu Chen smirks around his cigarette and fires a signal flare.

In an instant, more than a hundred mortars and rows of heavy machine guns turn the Japanese positions into a sea of fire! The entire Japanese battalion is wiped out in less than half an hour!

Staring at the spoils scattered across the ground, Lei Laohu swallows hard and clasps Lu Chen's hand. “Deputy Commander, I was talking too loud earlier. From now on, you can run this regiment!”

From then on, a force even more ruthless than the Japanese emerges in northwest Shanxi.

Years later, when Lu Chen receives his founding general's star, the world finally learns the truth: this notorious warlord is, in fact, the most genuine comrade of them all!
