Journey to the West: The Cautious Stone Monkey, the Mastermind Is Me

The gods and Buddhas have made the world their game board and the Journey to the West their play, unaware that a new variable has appeared inside the immortal stone destined to nurture the protagonist of a Great Calamity.

The transmigrator Shen Guanqi shares one body and two souls with the stone monkey yet to be born.

Faced with the Buddhist sect's schemes and the Celestial Court's grand game, Shen Guanqi begins a century-long “divine prenatal education” inside the stone egg.

He teaches the Eight-Nine Arcane Arts, imparts Mahayana teachings, and instills a cautious mindset.

When Jin Chanzi returns to the mortal world after nine lifetimes, ready to set the Great Calamity of the Journey to the West in motion, he discovers that Flower-Fruit Mountain has already become an impregnable fortress.

“Who says Old Sun is going to the Western Heaven to fetch scriptures? My big brother Shen Guanqi says those big shots in the Western Heaven should come pay tribute to Flower-Fruit Mountain!”

With a stone coffin and a cautious stone monkey, Shen Guanqi sits behind the scenes, manipulating the gods and Buddhas as he pleases.
