The Vengeful Ghost Begs for Mercy: Don't Mess with That Sickly Dorm Supervisor

[Two male leads + equally matched leads + secret identity reveal and contrast + mutual devotion + sweet and satisfying]

Gray fog descends, and abominations run rampant.

Yan Ci, the last King of the Underworld, opens a rundown apartment building in a contaminated zone and works as its caretaker after his divine power runs dry.

To earn merit, he coughs up blood every day as he diligently collects the rent.

“You with eight arms, mop the hallway before you die.”

“Keep howling in the middle of the night and I’ll twist your head off and kick it around like a ball.”

Then Huo Jin, the Abnormal Affairs Bureau’s strongest weapon and a ruthless executioner, leads a team to clear out an S-rank restricted zone.

They open the door to find the remains of S-rank evil gods strewn across the floor. Meanwhile, Yan Ci, the pretty caretaker rumored to be so frail a gust of wind could knock him over, stands trembling with a bloodstained ruler in his hand.

Yan Ci’s eyes glisten with tears. “Officer Huo, they just exploded on their own. It was so scary.”

Huo Jin, normally decisive and merciless, instantly gets teary-eyed and pulls him into a tight embrace. “Don’t be afraid, Cici. I’m here.”

Outside the door, the team members stare at the evil gods, beaten until their souls have flown away, and fall into deep thought: What the hell do you mean, they exploded on their own? Sister-in-law, your ruler is still dripping with blood!
