"Illustrated Three Fate General Conference Part 3: The Essence of Destiny" is the third volume in the "Illustrated Three Fate General Conference" series. It is a compilation of traditional magic and ancient books in the direction of "Siku Quanshu Vernacular Illustrations". "Sanming Tonghui" is a masterpiece of numerology written by Wan Minying of the Ming Dynasty. It has been widely circulated since the Ming Dynasty. "Sikuquanshu" included it in the sub-shu and numerology category, preserving its important form as a traditional numerology document.
The three parts of "Illustrated Three Fate Forums" are divided into a progressive structure according to the content of the original book: the first part "Eight Characters of Divine Evil" corresponds to Volumes 1 to 3 of the original book, and mainly talks about basic knowledge such as stems and branches, five elements, yin and yang, divine evil spirits, year, month, day and time; the second part "Inference of good and bad luck" "corresponds to Volumes 4 to 9 of the original book, and mainly discusses destiny, destiny, change patterns and a large number of numerology examples; the third part "Essentials of Fate" corresponds to Volumes 10 to 12 of the original book, focusing on an in-depth and easy-to-understand interpretation of the ancient fortune-telling classics included in the original work.
This book is based on the twelve volumes of "Sanming Tonghui" written by Wenyuange of "Sikuquanshu", combined with other versions for collation and vernacular commentary, and uses ancient illustrations, modern hand-drawings, popular charts and other methods to visually analyze numerology terminology, fortune-telling formulas, pattern judgment, and the relationship between the five elements and branches.
