Losing My Way to Fortune: My Whole Team Is Grinding Hard and Backstabbing Me!

[Unhinged comedy] [Everyone’s imagination runs wild] [Hilarious] [Trying to lose his way to fortune] [King of wild assumptions] [Subverting expectations]

Overworked office drone Lin Fan is reborn and takes over Xingchen Network, a company on the brink of bankruptcy. He awakens the “Corporate Loss Cashback System.”

As long as he legally squanders company funds, he gets ten times the amount back in cash, deposited straight into an overseas private trust! But if the company makes a profit, he gets a pitiful one percent.

Lin Fan’s eyes light up: This is a cash machine made just for me!

To bankrupt the company as quickly as possible, Lin Fan launches a series of deranged spending sprees:

“Double everyone’s base salary! I’ll fire anyone who works overtime without pay!”

“Use company money to buy absurdly expensive afternoon tea! Get every employee a 2,500-yuan chair!”

“Make a single-player game with nothing but black-and-white pixels. Absolutely no in-app purchases!”

He thinks the company’s funds will dry up any day now, and five million in cashback is as good as his. Instead, the whole staff are moved to tears: “President Lin would rather take on debt himself than let us go. He’s a living bodhisattva! Brothers, let’s work ourselves to the bone for him!”

A few months later, the black-and-white pixel game takes the internet by storm, tacky workwear makes its way to Paris Fashion Week, and the elderly security guard team wins the national esports championship...

Watching the company account swell by tens of millions every day, Lin Fan sobs blood in his sprawling executive office: “I never wanted to make money! Please, stop working yourselves to the bone! Just let me go bankrupt!!”
