Fishing the Tides in 1986: The Xu Family's Sixth Daughter Defies Her Fate

In 1986, at a small fishing village, a state-owned bank was robbed. A greedy cousin found 100,000 yuan in stolen cash and returned to the village to flaunt and squander it. He secretly buried half the money in his younger uncle's woodpile, intending to frame his relatives and make them take the blame.

Xu Dabao used his ill-gotten wealth to throw his weight around in the village. He ruined fishing boats, pocketed money, and took the elders' side whenever it suited him, using his riches to bully Xu Laoliu and his daughter.

But he never imagined that the meticulous Sanya had discovered the hidden stolen cash early on. She turned it over to the police on the spot, exposing his malicious frame-up in one stroke.

The villain went to prison, and the eldest branch sold its fishing boats and farmland to repay its debts. In an instant, the family was ruined.

Meanwhile, Xu Laoliu and his daughter had a supernatural talent for finding treasure in the deep sea. With their motorized fishing boat, they ventured farther offshore, hauling in endless lobsters and abalone and supplying Wangxian Tower exclusively. Their lives improved steadily.

Greedy relatives come around to scheme and pester them? They get face-slapped one by one, with no mercy.

Petty villains keep sabotaging their boat and stealing their fishing traps? The family pursues them under the law and makes them pay.

Riding the boom in coastal gathering, they help their maternal relatives get rich too. All six daughters make something of themselves, and no one dares call the Xu family sonless ever again!
