Cong Wan and Bo Zongyan's marriage began with a bet.
She fell for him at first sight, stubborn and guileless. “I'll give you all my love.”
He was cruel and sinister, his eyes full of scorn. “Then let's make a bet. Will you make me fall in love with you, or will I make your love disappear completely?”
Throughout their three years of marriage, Cong Wan bet everything she had.
But when a kidnapper aimed a gun at her, Bo Zongyan didn't even spare her a glance. “What wife? It was just a bet. Let my sister go.”
As gunfire rang by her ear, Cong Wan finally understood that a heart that wasn't hers could never be warmed.
After surviving the ordeal, she conceded defeat, abandoned the fight, and fled. Along with her love for him, she disappeared without a trace.

Bo Zongyan finally found Cong Wan. Before she could slap him, he was handed divorce papers.
He knelt before her. “You can cut me to pieces, just don't leave me.”
He jumped into the sea right in front of her, just as she had once leaped in to fake her own death and escape. “If I die, will you be my wife forever, my widow? Then we can never get divorced.”
She told him she had someone new. He didn't mind. “I can be the other man. It's too hard for you to take care of him alone. Let me help.”
She told him, “Bo Zongyan, you're pathetic.” He lowered his head and kissed her palm. “What does pride matter? I can't lose you again.”

Cong Wan once bet that he would fall in love with her. She thought she had lost.
Only Bo Zongyan knew that the moment he agreed to make that bet with her, he had already become the loser, through and through.
He was just a stray dog who had spent most of his life struggling in the dark, unable to believe that the bright moon could hang in the sky and shine on him alone.
