Su Nian had a dream about a blue-eyed boy with white hair, standing before him with a cold expression.
He didn’t think much of it. He turned to his childhood friend Ye Lan and said, “I dreamed about a handsome guy again.”
A few days later, on his way home from school, he found an injured white tiger cub in the rain. The cub was picky, aloof, and looked at him with disdain, but its icy blue eyes were exactly like those of the person in his dream.
Without giving it much thought, Su Nian took it home, cleaned its wounds, fed it beef, and named it “Xiao Bai.” The little tiger not only refused to appreciate the gesture, but sent him a cold message directly into his mind: “Don’t call me Xiao Bai. My name is Lin Yin.”
Before Su Nian could even process the fact that “the tiger I found can talk,” a breaking news report suddenly interrupted the television broadcast: spirit beasts were real, and some powerful ones could take human form.
Su Nian looked at the little white tiger on the sofa, pawing at the remote, and fell silent for a long time.
After the news aired, the world changed.
People from the National Bureau of Paranormal Affairs came knocking. A transfer student with a hidden identity appeared at school, and a club called the Mythology Research Society was inexplicably founded. Su Nian was appointed its only human liaison.
To make matters worse, a dark spirit beast named Ye Sha set its sights on Lin Yin.
On a rainy night, a shadow wolf smashed through the balcony glass. Surrounded by three enemies, Su Nian unleashed a spiritual shield for the first time. That night, he understood one thing: from the moment he picked that little white tiger up out of the rain, he had already been drawn into a storm spanning two worlds.
