(Everyday cooking) (Lighthearted fun) (No conspiracy theories) (Absurd)
Ye Tian lived an utterly ordinary life for thirty years after transmigrating. Then he made a bowl of egg fried rice, and who could have guessed it would attract Nezha? The mighty Marshal of the Central Altar not only snuck a bite, but took the whole pot...
Nezha: Just because Li Jing’s son sneaks a bite, what’s that got to do with me, Nezha!
Xiaotian Dog: I’m a dog to begin with...
Yang Jian: What does that shameless three-eyed guy have to do with me!
Sun Wukong: This old Sun has plenty of titles: Sun Walker, Walker Sun. Anyway, whoever’s shameless, it’s not Sun Wukong!
Once the secret is out, Yang Jian transfers directly to the Heavenly Court for good, and Sun Wukong joins in the fun. The three biggest rebels in Heaven battle wits over a bite to eat. Later, the Jade Emperor shows up too, announces that the cafeteria is open, and starts making life difficult for everyone in Heaven just to get a good meal.
To get even better food, the Jade Emperor cuts branches from the Peach Trees to roast duck, while Zhen Yuanzi goes even further and uses branches from the Ginseng Fruit Tree as firewood, all so Ye Tian’s cooking will taste better.
Later, Ye Tian’s Buddha Jumps Over the Wall leaves gods and Buddhas stunned. The Buddhist sect insists that Ye Tian belongs to everyone and that Heaven can’t keep him to itself!
The Heavenly Court doesn’t even have enough food for its own people, so how could it agree? This leads directly to a new calamity, later known as the Cafeteria Calamity!
In the end, the sages in Chaos are alerted. After tasting Ye Tian’s cooking, Jieyin and Zhunti immediately break off branches and leaves from the Six Purity Bamboo and the Seven Treasures Wonderful Tree to add to Ye Tian’s fire.
