The Ascetic Movie Emperor's Mask Slips, and the Wild Dog A Goes Berserk

Sheng Qingrang, a Grand Slam-winning film star, is widely regarded as the aloof flower atop a high ridge in Chinese entertainment.

Ten years into his career, he’s never had a rumor linking him to anyone. He never takes kissing scenes, and in interviews he’s always restrained and distant. Even his smile feels like snow falling on the other side of a lens.

His fans say he was born cool and distant. The powerful say he’s pristine and easy to control. After staking him out for three years, the paparazzi have only caught him going home late at night to read scripts.

But no one knows he has an alt account where he posts late-night musings about wanting to be marked by a wild Alpha.

At a masquerade ball, a drunk Sheng Qingrang gives in to his desires and spends a wonderful night at a hotel with a masked man who has broad shoulders and a slim waist.

When he wakes up, he flees in a panic without even asking the man’s name.

Half a month later, filming begins on a closed-set survival reality show.

Jiang Ye, a chart-topping star and the lead dancer of a boy band, makes a surprise appearance on the show.

Inside an empty tent, Jiang Ye yanks off Sheng Qingrang’s cool facade and pins him against a sleeping bag.

“Senior, after that night, did you really not want to find out who I was?”

Millions of viewers are watching the live broadcast just outside the tent.

The film star’s secret identity is on the verge of being exposed, while Jiang Ye grins, wild and wicked.

“Don’t worry, the cameras can’t see us. But if you keep ignoring me, Senior, I can’t promise I won’t let something slip.”
