The 1980s: A Nine-Tailed Fox and Her Cubs, with a Rugged Husband Who’s Irresistible

In an age when the world’s spiritual energy has withered away, the nine-tailed divine fox Wen Miaoyi is reborn as a frail, sickly educated youth in the 1980s.

Looking at her four-year-old divine beast cub, Suisui, who is hungry and crying for food, mother and child come to an agreement: they will head to the city and mooch meals from the child’s so-called father.

The supposed father, Feng Lie, is known to the outside world as an uneducated street punk who hangs around the neighborhood.

When the pair show up claiming to be his family, Feng Lie gives a cold laugh. “I’ve been single for twenty-six years. Where would I get a wife and child? If you’re here to sponge off me, forget it!”

Wen Miaoyi smiles through her near-fainting fit. “That’s fine. Once I get registered and buy a house, I’ll keep the child and leave you behind.”

Later, Feng Lie regains his memories and becomes a feared special forces commander and heir to a top-tier wealthy family.

Overjoyed, he prepares to stand up for his wife, only to discover that Wen Miaoyi’s “poor relatives” have come to the city.

The old man who scavenges junk and gives ginseng roots to everyone he meets is a master of traditional Chinese medicine.

Her honest, food-loving cousin smashes the steel armor of a military tank with one punch.

When the battle-hardened commander sees the divorce agreement his nine-tailed fox wife hands him, he drops to his knees, red-eyed, and clings to her fox tail.

“Wifey, I was wrong. You can’t keep the child and leave me. How about you leave the child and keep me instead?”
