Synopsis

Calamities have consumed ninety percent of the world, leaving humanity trapped in isolated cities. The military plans to cleanse contaminated zones with artillery. The cult offers living people to the Calamity King. The research institute uses soldiers to cultivate calamity strains. The Merchant Alliance has even put a price on an entire city's lives. Every faction claims to act for humanity, yet someone is always written onto the list of “necessary sacrifices.” Shen Ye receives seven future corpses that failed to become kings, along with an empty throne. From then on, he slays calamities to seize power, nails them into his army, and claims calamity domains as his royal territory. Amid the encirclement of the calamity kings and humanity's factions, he fights his way from an outcast of a fallen city to the King of All Calamities. But when the seventh empty coffin opens its eyes, he finally understands: The seven royal corpses aren't a legacy, but seven warnings of failure. At the end of the road, seated upon the throne, is his future self, who devoured every calamity in the world only to be nailed to the throne by humanity.

Tomato’s Masterpiece of the Apocalypse Genre: Don’t Recommend Anything Below 9.4

Zombies and natural disasters are both fine, but the self-sacrificing saintly types have to die. The protagonist needs to be smart. No System, and no ridiculous plots where they casually gather billions' worth of supplies and a whole arsenal. That kind of thing is insulting to the reader's intelligence.

Please Recommend High-Quality Zombie Apocalypse Stories

I don't want that generic A City, B City stuff. It feels so half-hearted. I want something grounded in reality, though mutations are fine. The worldbuilding should be clear, the zombies should be powerful, and the protagonist should be smart and not a womanizer.

Apocalypse Novels, Comrades, I Need the Apocalypse!!!

Doomsday novels with no female lead. I've read the two books by Yaoshu already. And even though I'm a girl, I love male-oriented fiction, you know? (●• ̀ω•́ )✧ Preferably without supernatural abilities, but other kinds are fine too. Please! („ಡωಡ„) Thanks!
