Journey to the West: After Refusing the Pilgrimage, Gods and Buddhas Lose Their Minds

When Lu Changsheng opened his eyes, he discovered that he had become Sun Wukong, trapped beneath Five Finger Mountain. A Buddhist seal rested above his head, the sacred mountain pinned him down, and Guanyin already stood among the clouds. “Wukong, Tang Sanzang will be passing by soon. You must accompany him west to retrieve the scriptures.” Lu Changsheng fell silent. Retrieve the scriptures? Wear a tightening headband, play bodyguard, work his way through the Eighty-One Tribulations, and end up with the meaningless title of Victorious Fighting Buddha? Wasn't this just a long-term labor contract, outsourced from beyond Five Finger Mountain to Spirit Mountain? He looked up at Guanyin and smiled. “Old Sun just finished serving five hundred years in prison. You still expect me to start a new job without a break?” [Ding! Host detected refusing the Journey to the West script!] [Script Refusal to Grow Stronger System successfully bound!] [Reward: Chaos Demon Ape bloodline!] [Guanyin detected losing her composure. Critical bonus reward!] From that moment on, the Journey to the West script was completely derailed. Tang Sanzang questioned his own existence, Guanyin lost her composure on the spot, the Tathagata furrowed his brow, the Jade Emperor slammed the table, and the Six-Eared Macaque was exposed as a fake the moment he appeared. No pilgrimage. No headband. No Buddhahood. Whoever tries to arrange Old Sun's life will have Old Sun make them lose their composure!
