Cunv Xiaofang

On the night before they parted, Xiaofang entrusted her innocence to the man she loved. She saw him off to study in the provincial capital. When thugs tried to extort them at a seedy county-town hotel by the station, he hid behind her, worried only about his tuition and unwilling to protect her at all. Heartbroken, she returned to her village. When her family tried to force her into marriage, she fled her home that very night and headed south to make a living. The man who abandoned her to marry someone else, then landed a glamorous job at the education bureau, met her again years later after she'd turned her life around. He was consumed by regret, but it was too late!
