I Pretended to Be Poor and Broke Off the Engagement, but the Cool Campus Hunk Insists on Marrying Me

At eighteen, her family forced an arranged marriage on her. Her prospective match was Shen Yubai, the top academic genius at school, admired from afar by everyone.

They say he's aloof and indifferent, arrogant and fastidious, and never gets close to women.

To get out of the engagement and keep her freedom, Su Ruanruan gives herself an extreme makeover overnight!

Dull old clothes, a complexion made darker with makeup, and messy hair,

transforming a sweet, pretty girl into a dowdy nobody no one would notice.

At the matchmaking meeting, she gives it her all, putting herself down to scare him off:

"I'm lazy, stupid, and bad at school. I have tons of flaws. I'm not good enough for you."

Su Ruanruan is sure this match is doomed!

From now on, they'll go their separate ways and live in peace!

But the aloof young man sitting against the light quietly watches her clumsy yet adorable disguise, his eyes concealing years of unspoken affection.

Seeing right through her tricks, he gently spoils her plan:

"You don't need to call it off."

"I don't mind."

"Su Ruanruan, I've been waiting for this engagement for a long time."

Everyone thinks she's the one reaching above her station by marrying the aloof, otherworldly prodigy.

Only Shen Yubai knows the truth:

He's been plotting this for a long time, willingly falling into her hands, just waiting for the girl to step little by little into his tender trap.
