Great Ming: Making Snowflake Salt from the Start and Stealing Xu Miaoyun Away

After transmigrating to the Hongwu era, Zhu Zhen became the Ming dynasty’s sixth prince, Prince of Chu. Everyone thought he was a useless wastrel with no ambition.

He had cutting-edge construction technology and secretly developed estates, refined snow-white salt, cultivated high-yield potatoes, and built the formidable Divine Might Cannon.

Zhu Yuanzhang had planned to marry the talented Xu Miaoyun to Prince of Yan Zhu Di. But Xu Miaoyun accidentally entered Zhu Zhen’s fief and, after seeing its goods and weapons far beyond their time, fell for him.

At the court wedding ceremony, Xu Miaoyun publicly rejected Zhu Di, declaring that she would marry only Zhu Zhen.

Zhu Di was humiliated and furious. Zhu Yuanzhang was livid and personally led the imperial guards to Zhu Zhen’s estate to demand an explanation.

But when he stepped inside, he saw mountains of grain, silver, and gold, along with guards fully armed with firearms.

Zhu Yuanzhang immediately changed his tune, clasped Zhu Zhen’s hands, and exclaimed, “The fourth son isn’t good enough for Miaoyun. You might as well take charge of this empire!”
