Five Hundred Years Sweeping Mount Fangcun, Then the Monkey Finally Arrives

Li Changsheng spent five hundred years sweeping the grounds of Fangcun Mountain.

He watched batch after batch of junior disciples leave.

As they descended the mountain, they would smile and say, "Senior Brother, I've obtained an immortal opportunity. I'll live another five hundred years!"

He would smile and nod, never telling them the truth: five hundred years later, the Three Calamities would descend, and they would be reduced to ashes.

No one knew how much he kept bottled up inside.

Until that day, when a monkey smashed open the mountain gate.

"Immortal! This disciple begs you to teach me the way to eternal life!"

Looking at that thunderous, simian face, he suddenly felt like laughing.

This monkey would one day wreak havoc in Heaven, be pinned beneath Five Elements Mountain, and walk the path laid out for him.

His edges would be worn away until he became a hired hand for the Spirit Mountain.

That is, if no one changed things.

He opened the mountain gate and looked into the monkey's clear, burning eyes.

"Come in."

This time, I'll rewrite the destiny of Heaven's chosen one.

You won't have to fight alone again.
