After Getting Kicked Out, I Became SKT's Savior

[Esports + one female lead + master of every champion]

Lin Can wakes up to find himself cast as the “biggest culprit” in the S7 semifinal between RNG and SKT.

After all five games, the entire internet floods his Weibo with abuse. RNG throws him under the bus overnight, and every LPL team joins in to blacklist him: “This guy will never be hired.”

Keyboard warriors celebrate: “With a useless top laner like him, even wildcard teams wouldn’t want him!”

Lin Can looks at the insults on his phone, quietly opens the Korean server, and uses top-lane Lucian to beat the other team until they type in pinyin in all chat: “wocao, shangdan ADC?”

He grins.

You don’t want me?

Then I’ll go to SKT.

In 2017, SKT is rebuilding after the Bird’s Nest disaster. The management team frowns at the tryout application from the LPL: “Can this top laner, the one everyone’s been cursing out, really cut it?”

Fifteen minutes later, Faker stares at the screen at a 17-0-3 top-lane Yasuo and slowly types a single character:

“Wow.”

From then on, the LCK has a top laner who refuses to play by the rules.

Vayne against Darius? Nothing unusual.

Kalista against Sion? Just the basics.

Ivern top? The opposing jungler loses his mind.

LPL viewers go from mocking him to falling silent, then to losing it: “Wait, isn’t this monster the one we rejected?”

Meanwhile, Lin Can sits in SKT’s practice room, looking at the pretty female team manager as she hands him a Coke. He scratches his head. “Um… the food in your LCK cafeteria is way better than RNG’s.”

[The genius the LPL rejected becomes the LCK’s savior. Master of every champion, hilarious under pressure. This time, he’s taking back everything he lost.]
