At the World Finals, SKT's Top Laner Speaks Chinese

[A talent rejected by the LPL becomes SKT's sharpest blade]

At the start of the S6 season, Lin Ye, a Chinese top laner praised for his mechanical skill but vilified across the internet, was quietly blacklisted by the entire LPL.

His tryout footage was maliciously edited, his champion pool dismissed as “toxic,” and every club shut its doors to him.

A manager who had once praised him now said coldly, “With the way you play, you don't deserve to be a pro.”

As mockery rained down, he silently logged into an unfamiliar Korean server account. After a string of unbelievable carry performances, he made an international call.

“Brother Sang-hyeok, does SKT need a top laner?”

Six months later, at the World Championship.

When a young top laner in an SKT jersey, still using a Chinese ID, crushed the LPL's last hope, the entire region fell silent.

Once discarded as worthless here, he had become a nightmarish wall they could never overcome.

“They didn't want me, so I'll go conquer their god.”

“They laughed at me for being a pawn. I'll show them I can be the one moving the pieces.”
