Undercover in the Military Intelligence Bureau: From the Start, I Save Zheng Yaoxian

Liu Zhengguo transmigrates to early 1937 as a graduate of the tenth class of the Whampoa Military Academy, originally from Jiangshan, Zhejiang.

In this world, there are not only Zheng Yaoxian, but also Yu Zicheng, Ming Lou, Lin Nansheng, Yu Manli, An Zaitian, Chen Moqun, Wang Tianfeng, Gong Shu, Ma Kui, Li Ya, Station Chief Wu Jingzhong, and more...

At the time, Liu Zhengguo is urgently searching for the Communist Party organization. After a class reunion, he unexpectedly comes upon Zheng Yaoxian, the Military Statistics Bureau's Sixth Brother, being ambushed by Japanese agents.

Liu Zhengguo leaps into action and fights his way through the ambush with his special forces skills.

Impressed by his courage, Zheng Yaoxian gives Liu Zhengguo the chance to join the Military Statistics Bureau, and Liu uses their three connections, being fellow townsmen from Jiangshan, fellow Whampoa graduates, and owing Zheng a life debt, to join. He swears brotherhood with Zheng Yaoxian and becomes the Bureau's much-feared “Seventh Brother.”

In outsiders' eyes, he's loyal, devoted to his fellow townsmen, ruthless in action, and a master schemer: the sharpest blade of all.

But to Zheng Yaoxian, the more he sees of Liu Zhengguo, the less he seems like an ordinary Military Statistics Bureau agent.

Then one day, the organization secretly makes contact with Liu Zhengguo.

At last, he gains his true identity.

A senior agent of the Communist Party, codename: Yasha.

From then on, Liu Zhengguo, the Military Statistics Bureau's Seventh Brother, and Yasha of the underground party become two faces of the same person.

One face kills Japanese agents, eliminates traitors, and strikes fear into the Military Statistics Bureau.

The other protects comrades, delivers intelligence, and changes seemingly hopeless outcomes.

He rises steadily through the Military Statistics Bureau's ranks, walking on thin ice within enemy territory.

Everyone believes Liu Zhengguo is Dai Li's confidant, Zheng Yaoxian's sworn brother, and the Bureau's most ruthless Seventh Brother.

Only history knows that he is another kite hidden in the darkness.
