The Wicked Old Lady Reborn in the 1980s: Her Ungrateful Children All Fall to Their Knees

In her previous life, Liu Shuangqiao worked herself to the bone for her four children, spending every last cent she had. But when she was bedridden with paralysis, her second son and youngest daughter despised her, and she froze and starved to death in a shabby house in the dead of winter.

Only on the brink of death did she see the truth: her beloved second son was an ungrateful wretch, and the youngest daughter she had put through college was a leech. Meanwhile, the eldest son and daughter she had neglected ended up suffering the most because of her!

When she opened her eyes again, it was the summer of 1983. Her second son was kneeling before her, weeping as he begged for five hundred yuan to “further his studies,” while also trying to steal his late father’s job succession slot.

Liu Shuangqiao slapped him hard. “You want money? You want a job? I’d feed my things to a dog before I gave them to you ungrateful wretches!”

Her daughter-in-law faked a miscarriage with red ink to swindle five hundred yuan? Liu Shuangqiao called the barefoot doctor to check her pulse right then and there, and worked out the travel dates in front of all the neighbors, making sure her second son wore those horns for good!

Her college-educated youngest daughter complained that her family was suffocating? Liu Shuangqiao exposed her affair with a married man for everyone to hear!

Watching her ungrateful children scramble around in defeat, forty-eight-year-old Liu Shuangqiao settled down with a little stool in the main room and sipped her tea. “Since you say I’m a wicked old woman, then I’ll show you just how wicked I can be! Even the King of Heaven himself would have to kneel in this courtyard and sing ‘I Surrender’!”
