[Showbiz + Catfishing as a Chatting Proxy + Mutual Healing + Sweet Romance]
Everyone online knows that top-tier star and movie emperor Jiang Yanche is aloof, socially anxious, and suffers from severe insomnia. But no one knows that every night, he needs to hear the voice of his “mysterious girlfriend” before he can fall asleep.
Lin An'an is a broke, minor extra who has to grab a couple of extra boxed meals from the set just to get by. Her hidden identity is a professional chatting proxy, hired to date a rich young lady's online boyfriend on her behalf.
To pay off her debts, she uses her naturally soothing, sweet voice and bizarre bedtime stories to keep her “client” completely under her spell.
She takes the money and does the job, never getting emotionally involved.
Lin An'an thinks it's the perfect business arrangement, until she joins a production and realizes that the unattainable movie emperor Jiang looks at her with increasingly dangerous eyes.
At a cast dinner, a drunk Lin An'an grabs Jiang Yanche by the collar and habitually pats his back as she mumbles, “There, there. The tractor's climbing the hill. Close your eyes and go to sleep…”
In the dead silence, Jiang Yanche shudders. A fierce possessiveness ignites in his deep eyes as he pulls her into his arms. “I've finally caught you, my one and only cure.”
The next day, the trending topics bring the whole internet to a standstill. Everyone thinks the little extra who offended the movie emperor is about to be blacklisted. So how is it that she isn't even sidelined, but instead makes a spectacular comeback and rises all the way to become a top-tier movie star?
