Pout and Get Your Way

Fang Zhihao has been married to Lu Ji for three years, but Lu Ji treats him like he’s invisible. He thinks that’s just what marriage is: two names written on the same piece of paper, each living their own life without getting in the other’s way. Then his grandmother becomes gravely ill and needs a special insurance policy from Imperial Capital People’s Hospital to undergo surgery. Fang Zhihao takes their marriage certificate to the Civil Affairs Bureau, only to be told that Lu Ji’s policy has long since been taken out for another man. He goes to find Lu Ji and catches his husband acting all lovey-dovey with his new flame. With nowhere else to turn, he discovers an unsigned insurance policy in the Chamber of Commerce archives: Ning Zhiqing, president of the Ning Group and the youngest, most dangerous powerbroker in Imperial Capital’s business world. Fang Zhihao starts showing up to corner him every day. Ning Zhiqing says, “I thought you were a smart man.” When Fang Zhihao falls to his knees, Ning Zhiqing thinks it’s just a transaction. But he never expected the man to be so obedient it hurts to watch. His eyes are red at the corners, as if they’re about to bleed, yet he still lifts his face and asks, “Mr. Ning, when will you give me the policy...?” Ning Zhiqing thinks he won’t fall for him. Until one night, holding Fang Zhihao in his arms, he suddenly can’t wait any longer. “When are you divorcing him?” “I have such a pretty, pretty little...” “Fang Zhihao, come here.” He beckons, and the man obediently nestles into his arms.
