The Abstinent Young Master of Divination Loses Control and Gets Hooked

Jiang Chen, the celibate master of divination, possesses an ancient tortoiseshell said to foretell the future. Each day, he casts three lots to determine fortune and misfortune: minor luck, moderate luck, great luck, neutral, or bad. Every reading cuts straight to the heart. If he draws minor luck or better for seven days in a row, he can awaken the Eye of Fate, allowing him to see through other people’s threads of destiny and pinpoint the turning points between life and death. Cool and self-controlled, he had always kept himself apart from worldly desires. But guided by one divination after another, he drew closer and closer to the woman who made him lose control. The more he divined, the deeper he fell. The harder he tried to restrain himself, the more addicted he became. When his reason crumbled and desire broke free, an even more forbidden power awakened within the tortoiseshell: “Fate Reversal”: A limited number of times, he can defy heaven and rewrite a predetermined ending. “Divination Array”: Combine the results of readings cast over several days to map out the whole picture and calculate every move without error. He could read the heavens, the earth, and people’s hearts, but he never foresaw that he would go mad and lose control for her, becoming an addict consumed by obsession. “Didn’t you say you were going to abstain?” Abstinence? He simply hadn’t met the right reading yet. Losing control? From the moment she stepped into his divination, it was already fated. “Abstinence is just a lie you tell yourself,” he said.
