Peach, the Bedchamber Maid

Her beloved son was snatched away at birth by the Empress’s people, who threatened the lives of the entire Zhou family and secretly concealed his identity. The infant was raised as the legitimate son of the Empress. Tao entered the palace as a maid under a false identity and went into hiding at the Empress’s side. But the Emperor fell for her and took her as his concubine. The Dowager Empress and Noble Consort Wang then took turns sowing discord, making the Empress increasingly suspicious and distant. A lowly, powerless concubine could not protect her own child. Driven to desperation, Tao resolved to stop keeping her head down and hiding her talents. She would fight for power, step by step, and use her influence to secure peace for herself and her son.
