The Record of an Ordinary Person Losing Control

Qiao Dingtian was just an ordinary person. So ordinary that no one would remember him in a crowd. He had a steady job and a regular routine, with no obvious failures and no obvious successes. His life was like a track laid out in advance: work, go home, eat, sleep, then repeat, almost never making a wrong turn. Then one day, he began noticing details he couldn’t explain. Sometimes the times didn’t line up. His memories had gaps. He couldn’t remember doing certain things that had already happened. Stranger still, every record showed that he was perfectly normal. His time clock entries were normal, the surveillance footage was normal, and his work was completed as usual. His coworkers thought he hadn’t changed at all, and was even more stable than before. Only Qiao Dingtian knew that parts of his life were gradually “disappearing.” But nobody believed him, and nobody noticed. When he tried to uncover the truth, he stumbled upon an even more unsettling question: If everyone thinks you’re normal, then who is the one who isn’t? And what did he do during those missing hours? Or perhaps those things never happened at all.
