My First Year in the Military: The Nation Borrowed Me as a National Treasure

Gu Cheng, once an elite soldier king in his previous life, transmigrates into the body of an 18-year-old rookie in a parallel world.

Because he holds an exceptionally high rank in his clan, which has a century-old legacy, a legendary scene unfolds on his very first day of enlistment:

The stern recruit company commander scans the new recruits’ list, sweating profusely, then snaps to attention with a thump. “Greetings, Great-Granduncle Three!”

The entire company of recruits is stunned!

Gu Cheng casually waves him off. “Keep it low-key. In the army, we’ll each go by our own rules. I’ll call you sir, and you can call me Grandpa.”

He had planned to coast along as a lazy, useless soldier, but his maxed-out abilities won’t let him.

During an inspection by the military district commander, Gu Cheng casually shoots down a drone a kilometer away! At the all-army combat competition, he takes on the top special forces champions blindfolded!

Just six months after enlisting, fighter jets escort him as the whole internet watches live.

When the military district commander personally delivers two First-Class Merit plaques to Gu Cheng’s village, the whole clan is dumbfounded. “Weren’t we just sending him to the army to experience life? How did he become a general and bring glory to the family?!”
