Northeast China’s Iron-Boned Ma Longshan: Slaughtering Invaders at Jiangqiao

[Passionate War of Resistance] [Violent Aesthetics] [One-Man Army] [Rewrite History] [Ma Longshan, a True Hero]

November 1931, Jiangqiao, Heilongjiang.

This was the first large-scale battle in which the Chinese military organized resistance against the Japanese army.

The commander was Ma Longshan. He had been a bandit and had killed soldiers, but in the end, he gave his life for three words: the Chinese people.

He had no Huangpu military academy education and no overseas background. All he had was a bellyful of underworld loyalty and a head that feared no death.

Three thousand men against fifteen thousand. Two cannons against planes and tanks.

They held their ground for sixteen days.

They charged in and out three times, refusing to yield an inch.

Ma Longshan suffered eleven wounds and personally killed a Japanese commander and a regimental commander.

After the battle, the Japanese called him "the Kwantung Army's nightmare, Ma the Devil."

This is no tale of legend. It is the truth, written in 1931 with the life of a man from the Northeast.
