After the Villainess Takes Power, the Unhinged Tycoon Begs Me Not to Leave

Song Zhaozhao transmigrates into a wealthy-family romance novel as the villainess. In the original plot, she bankrolls her fiancé Gu Chengli’s rise, only to be schemed against by him and his old flame. Her family fortune is stolen, her reputation is destroyed, and she dies miserably in a psychiatric hospital.

When she opens her eyes again, it is the day of her engagement party.

For the sake of his old flame, Gu Chengli publicly demands that she apologize. Everyone waits for her to bow her head, but Song Zhaozhao takes off her engagement ring and counters by revealing evidence that the Gu family misappropriated her dowry, his old flame bribed the media, and Gu Chengli siphoned off assets.

She sneers. “A villainess clawing her way to the top? Sorry, I’ve just finally stopped throwing money at a lost cause.”

After she breaks off the engagement, everyone waits to see her make a fool of herself. Instead, she turns to Fu Wenjing, the most untouchable madman in the capital’s elite circle.

A villainess and a madman: everyone assumes they’ll scheme against each other until both are ruined. But later, the Gu family collapses, the old flame’s schemes are exposed, and the Song family regrets everything. Everyone who once climbed over her to get ahead is dragged off their pedestal.

When Gu Chengli comes back, red-eyed, begging to get back together, Fu Wenjing takes her hand in front of everyone.

“If she wants to rise to the top, I’ll pave the way.”

“If she wants to be a villainess, I’ll have her back.”
