To escape a business marriage, Chu Ciyin, a top socialite from Beijing’s elite circles, climbs over a wall in her custom bridesmaid dress in the middle of the night and accidentally ends up in the battered van of the Five Hahas production crew. They think she’s a delicate heiress, but she’s a master haggler, can pick locks with her bare hands, and even knows how to care for a sow after giving birth. She lets loose completely on this shoestring trip!

When Brother Chao performs on the street, she smashes a rock on her chest. When Chichi haggles at the market, she becomes sworn brothers with the shopkeeper and gets rock-bottom prices. When the production crew cuts off their funds, she turns around and collects scrap, then rents the junk to the cameramen at a premium. She relies on no supernatural golden finger, only a photographic memory and a masterful grasp of all kinds of streetwise know-how, using her “socially fearless bandit” skills to leave the stingy production crew with nothing.

Viewers across the internet go from “Who’s that woman?” to “Brother Yin, take me with you!” Chu Ciyin turns a boy-band variety show into her own comedy empire. The director screams in despair: “There’s a loophole in your rules!”
