The Chu-Han Contention: I Rewrite Xiang Yu’s Fate

Xiang Dong, a young man who just wanted to lie flat, transmigrates to the end of the Qin dynasty and becomes the fated bond of Xiang Yu, the Hegemon-King of Western Chu: when Xiang Yu hurts, Xiang Dong hurts; if Xiang Yu dies, Xiang Dong dies! To stay alive, Xiang Dong has no choice but to cling to ten-year-old Xiang Yu, using modern knowledge and a knack for yin-yang divination to survive in the turbulent age. From escaping encirclement to fleeing into exile, and from there to gathering allies in Hengshan, he gets ahead of the game by befriending young Zhang Liang, Ji Bu, and other future power players. He tries to change the outcome by reshaping Xiang Yu’s character and avoiding key historical turning points, putting his foreknowledge to use. But as the curtain rises on the world, Xiang Dong realizes the waters at the end of the Qin dynasty run unfathomably deep. He has become entangled in far more than the struggle between Chu and Han! Teacher, friend, and foe, bound together for decades: are they trying to make up for a tragedy that has haunted the ages, or simply to survive amid mountains of corpses and seas of blood? When the roar of “Though Chu has only three households left, Chu will destroy Qin!” echoes across Chu, and Xiang Yu finally sets out for the battle ordained by fate, Xiang Dong understands that he must fight not only the tragic song of Gaixia already written in the history books, but also the relentless march of destiny itself! How can a good-for-nothing’s struggle to survive shake the final outcome of fate?
