Set in an alternate 1930s Sichuan. An ancient civilization called Divine Revelation was once unearthed at the Sanxingdui ruins. One of its branches used Shu embroidery as its medium. Through exquisitely precise stitches that vibrated in resonance, patterns could become “spirit embroidery” with a fleeting physical form: an embroidered bird could briefly fly, while embroidered armor could stop bullets. Luo Yunjin is one of only two surviving heirs to Divine Revelation Embroidery. Three years ago, a mistake on her part led to the deaths of her comrades. She was forced to take a Forgetting Worm, lost some of her memories, and faked her death to escape. When she is urgently awakened, she discovers that the person she must assassinate is her first love, Gu Nanchen. The Forgetting Worm begins to crack, and she struggles in the narrow space between her “mission” and her “memories.” The cruelty of this world is that every stitch she makes can be both a weapon that strikes at the heart and a totem of redemption.
