For You, the Penalty Is Overturned

The World Cup has begun. Six years ago, he was a national-team prodigy who scored a stoppage-time winner, only to be framed by all his teammates for match-fixing and banned for life. Everyone believed it. Only one seventeen-year-old boy didn't. Six years later, he returned as a coach, weathered and battered, with the whole internet hurling abuse at him. That boy was now a key player on the national team. Standing in the middle of the pitch, he looked at him through the crowd, his gaze just as burning as it had been six years ago.

“Coach Ren, I remember you.”

“Yeah.”

From isolation to faith, from fighting side by side to entrusting each other with their lives. He hides every trace of favoritism within the rules; with every pass, the other answers all their unspoken understanding. On the pitch, they join forces to expose corrupt referees, root out the traitor, and bring down the shadowy forces of capital, fighting their way step by step to the World Cup final.

The whole internet is asking: Why is Coach Ren different only with Shen Huiming?

No one knows that, the year of that stoppage-time winner, a boy in the stands cried all night.

It took him six years to reach his side.

From looking up to him, to standing shoulder to shoulder, until his light shines for him alone.

For you, every call goes against the rules.
