Reborn in the 1980s: Grandma Liu Was a Doormat, But Now She's Had Enough

(No System or personal space + family life + ensemble cast of ordinary people + reborn in a bygone era)

On the twenty-ninth day of the twelfth lunar month, after Liu Guilan died, her three sons gathered in the main room to split the money set aside for her coffin. The eldest son's wife thought she was bad luck, and the youngest son's wife didn't want to spend a cent. Only her second son's wife, Sun Xiuhe, whom Liu Guilan had treated with contempt all her life, washed her and heated water for her, staying by her side until the end. Before she closed her eyes, Liu Guilan heard her daughter-in-law sob, "Mother, your life was so hard. In your next life, don't play favorites like this, and don't shortchange yourself either."

When she opened her eyes again, she was forty-six. Her eldest son, Zhou Weidong, was pounding the table and demanding money to buy a sewing machine for his wife's family in the city. Her youngest son, Zhou Weimin, lay on the kang pretending to be sick, hoping to trick her into giving up her job. Both daughters-in-law had their eyes on her private savings. Her youngest daughter was still suffering in the countryside, while her second son's wife, Sun Xiuhe, stood timidly at the door with a basin of hot water.

In her previous life, she endured everything until she died.

This time, she flips the table and refuses to be anyone's fool. She will no longer feed the wicked with the blood of the kind.

She settles the accounts in front of everyone, divides the household and cuts off their support, helps her second son's family, brings her youngest daughter home, and seizes the opportunities of the era to earn money and provide for her old age.
