Synopsis

After a sandstorm, Shen Heyin, a graduate student in cultural relics research, wakes beside a beacon tower in Guazhou at the start of the Zhenguan era. All she has left is half a bottle of water, a folding knife, and a fragmentary scroll that shows her visions of death. The first time the scroll lights up, it points to a dry well that isn't marked on any road. At the bottom of the well is a boy. Outside it are slashed waterskins, a working well that's been blocked up, and a road sign that's been pulled out. Only then does Shen Heyin realize that the routes through the Western Regions weren't lost. Someone hid them. Some people get rich by making travelers lose their way. Some seize power by cutting off their water. Others use miracles and curses to keep travelers from asking for directions. And the monk Xuanzang, who is about to slip through the frontier, insists on writing down every road he travels. From Yumen Pass in Guazhou to Gaochang, Qiuci, and the snowy Congling Mountains, Shen Heyin rescues people, unravels schemes, and retraces the nameless roads that were erased. She thought the scroll would lead her home. Only at the very end does she understand: the scroll isn't a lifeline left for her by someone else. It's the Record of the Nameless Journey West, written by her future self for her present self.

Any High-Quality Historical Novels? 😭😭😭😭

I want to read books similar to Father, Open the Door, I Brought Home the Trouble I Caused. The female lead should be intelligent. The male lead is optional. The author should have excellent writing. Please!

Are There Any Books With a Highly Intelligent, Meticulous Heroine Who Plans Every Move?

Looking for books similar to *In the 1960s, I Became the Scheming Female Lead's Stepping Stone*. The female lead can suffer, but she must always get revenge. Good writing would be nice, but isn't essential. I just hope the golden finger isn't too overpowered; a little female-lead luck is fine. I still prefer smart female leads.

Strong Female Lead and Political Scheming! No One Acts Like an Idiot!

I don’t want a female lead disguised as a man! She should be unbelievably clever or have maxed-out combat skills. She could be a princess, a martial artist, or anything else. She shouldn’t rely on the male lead’s help. Using her own strength as a woman, she turns the situation upside down. The process can be difficult, but in the end she should achieve her ideals.

Please Recommend Transmigration Stories That Aren’t Clichéd!

I've been reading on and off for five or six years. Transmigration is one of the few genres I really like. I have plenty on my bookshelf, but some feel formulaic. Other people have asked for recommendations like this too, but when I click through, I can't find anything to my taste... Any subject is fine!

Proper Historical Fiction, No Transmigrate, No Reborn, No Romance Drama

I'm looking for a proper historical novel. No being reborn, no transmigrating, and no romance-obsessed drama. There are more and more novels about transmigration, being reborn, and romance-obsessed characters, and I'm sick of them. I'm getting more and more disappointed.

High-Quality Stories About Transmigrating to Ancient Times

1. Someone transmigrates to ancient times and gradually conquers the world. Good writing, and it must be complete. 2. Someone transmigrates to ancient times. Everyone else thinks he's a stubborn young master, but he's actually been plotting ahead to protect himself and his family, eventually swallowing up the whole world. 3.
