Free America: I’m the Bank’s One-Man Army

1997, Chicago. Law and order had fallen apart. An FBI agent stopped a young Chinese man in an alley and questioned him. Three days later, the newly transmigrated man used a handgun to rob his first bank. At the time, no one in the world knew what that meant. At the Citibank South City branch, he used a homemade signal emulator to disable the alarm system and make off with three million dollars. When the police arrived, all that remained was a street littered with shell casings. Outside the state treasury, he blew over a SWAT armored vehicle with an M203 grenade launcher. The radio crackled with screams: “They have a machine gun! We need the Army!” A massive blackout struck Manhattan, New York. In the Federal Reserve Bank's underground vault, electronic certificates for six thousand tons of gold were transferred to thousands of overseas accounts. National Guard tanks rolled into Wall Street. Waiting for them was a six-barreled Gatling gun powered by a military exoskeleton. Shell casings covered the asphalt like a golden river. Wang Xiao stood at the center, a belt of ammunition looped around his arm, smoke still curling from the barrel in his hands. “Butcher, power down.”
