The Third Day's Underwear

Reconciliation After a Breakup + The Pursuit That Turns into a Painful Lesson

Because of a pair of underwear he hadn't changed in three days, Xiang Wan and her husband of sixteen years, Zhuo Xu, walked into the civil affairs bureau.

Everyone thought they were joking.

After all, they were the model couple in their circle of friends, with a lovely daughter, a comfortable life, and a relationship that seemed unbreakable to outsiders.

But who knew that Xiang Wan had had enough of being "looked after" and "controlled" in every little thing, while Zhuo Xu had had enough of the suffocating "restrictions" and "nagging"?

Divorce was the last kindness they could offer each other.

Yet before they even had a chance to enjoy the freedom, they both started regretting it.

Staring at her empty wardrobe, Xiang Wan realized for the first time that "freedom" left her nowhere to run.

Smelling his own socks after three days without washing them, Zhuo Xu found himself missing the woman who used to scold him for being unhygienic.

And so began a farcical "chase to win back one's spouse." They started learning to mend the cracks in their "marriage" by looking at it through the lens of "divorce."

It turned out that the best kind of love isn't never arguing. It's still wanting to spend your whole life together after the argument is over.
