She Holds the Scalpel, I Lose My Heart

Female surgeon x investment banking hotshot

During a late-night emergency, Lin Jianwei met the most “difficult” patient of her career: Cheng Yu. This wealthy young venture capitalist had been hospitalized with gastric bleeding, yet openly questioned whether a female doctor had the stamina for surgery. “Surgery takes a lot of physical strength. Can a woman really handle it?”

Lin Jianwei calmly shot back that her surgical records were the best calling card.

But the sharp-tongued Mr. Cheng seemed to have discovered a whole new world, and from then on began his “many ways to win her over”: bribing the doctor on duty with seafood congee and turning suture removal into a heart-fluttering moment.

“Dr. Lin, I’m putting my life in your hands,” he said with a smile, though his gaze was utterly serious.

From skepticism to attraction, from the hospital room to everyday life. When a tough, no-nonsense surgeon meets a rich investment tycoon who just won’t take no for an answer, who will manage to win whom in this romance that began in the emergency room?
